Note – mine exploration is a high-risk sport and it is not possible to reduce all risks to a low level. CATMHS seek to support exploration in a safe manner while recognising that significant risks will remain and the safety of the activity will ultimately depend on the ability of the group and participants to take sensible actions to ensure exploration is conducted with a reasonable margin of safety. Everyone attending a meet must accept the risks involved and act responsibly.
