WELSH WEEKEND– Saturday & Sunday 16th& 17thMarch 2019
Meet Leader : Michael Bill Oddie. A weekend of exploration of Dinorwic slate quarries at Llanberis.
Saturday is a surface exploration of this enormous and fascinating site (Grade Easy).
Sunday is a more technical and strenuous day on ropes, ladders and climbs (Grade Difficult).

Note – mine exploration is a high-risk sport and it is not possible to reduce all risks to a low level. CATMHS (a CIO) seek to support exploration in a safe manner while recognising that significant risks will remain and the safety of the activity will ultimately depend on the ability of the group and participants to take sensible actions to ensure exploration is conducted with a reasonable margin of safety. However accidents and incidents can happen and everyone taking part in this event do so at their own risk.
