Meeting arrangements for 30 June. There is a small car park in the center of Dufton, behind the public toilets and some on/off street parking. If we could meet there for 9.30, at the toilets, with a view to setting off at 10. It is a 3 mile walk in to the mines, mostly uphill, but only a small section is steep. there are several adits which are accessible, although waist deep water will be encountered. Total surface walk is around 7 miles, and in the region of 3/4 mile of optional underground. No srt. but some crawling. And to end the day, a cracking little pub in the Village. Looking forward to seeing you all Sunday.
It is essential that you let the meet leader know you are joining the meet at least a week before the date of the meet. Meet capacity is set to suit the conditions likely to be encountered and is allocated on a first come first booked basis. Note – mine exploration is inherently a high-risk sport and it is not possible to remove all risks.
