Directions:
From the N edge of Bampton Village on the road to Helton there is a narrow lane heading uphill in W direction to a farm called Carhullan. The lane is adjacent to a stone bus shelter & has a “Lowther estate” sign on the RHS @ the bottom.
Continue up there for about 2.5 km until the point where the tarmac runs out just after Moorhill Farm on the right & park on the left. From there we’ll head thro’ the gate on the track to Carhullan then turn SW down the Cawdale valley. GR for parking is NY4932718192
