A non-SRT underground exploration of this extensive set of Iron Ore Workings near Lamplugh, West Cumbria. For experienced mine explorers who inexplicably have not visited this interesting mine before or who want to increase their knowledge of Iron Ore mines without getting an all over haematite tan. Rated Difficult due some scrambling and crawling over falls and across loose ground but with the enticement of an in-situ ore cart and the opportunity to view the prospect of a future 250 ft abseil into deeper rarely visited workings. In addition a chance afterwards to look at other nearby levels for those who enjoy squeezing into tight, wet entrances to explore meandering tunnels
