Interested in joining CATMHS ?
CATMHS is actively involved in the exploration, conservation, preservation, surveying and recording of our industrial past.
We are always eager to welcome new members regardless of sex, race or experience. Our only requirement is that you have an interest in Mine Exploration, Mining History, Archaeology, Industrial Heritage or the desire to learn more about these subjects. We have membership levels to suit all ranges of involvement starting with Basic (no BCA membership) at only £11 per Annum. For full details please download the Membership Application Form.
Although there is no obligation to attend, we have a full and varied programme of field trips that take place throughout the year. These include both surface and underground meets, not just in Cumbria, but in other areas of the UK and occasionally abroad. Suggestions for meets are always very welcome from any society member and details of our current programme can be found on the Meets List
All of our members receive a free of charge quarterly newsletter comprising articles and reports submitted by society members. The newsletter editor always welcomes articles from members for publication and details of our current issue can be viewed on the Newsletter Page.
